Save Local Bees Conservation Program
Johnson Group values the importance and contributions of bees to the natural ecosystem. Despite the facade of social development, we have observed a decline in the beekeeping industry in Hong Kong, with the survival of local bees facing serious threats due to a lack of public awareness about beekeeping.
In 2018, Johnson Group initiated the Save Local Bees Conservation Program. We actively advocate for “saving bees” instead of “exterminating bees” and work closely with local beekeepers for bee conservation, supporting the sustainable development of local beekeeping in Hong Kong.
Save Local Bees Sustainable Campus
As the new semester begins, we cordially invite your school to participate in the Save Local Bees Sustainable Campus! Through organizing activities such as bee farm tours, on-campus workshops and seminars, we hope to help schools gradually achieve sustainable development in education. This program aims to provide students with unique learning experiences outside the classroom and raise awareness towards local bee conservation.
Kindergarten Activity – Little Bee Workshop
- Use our cartoon character – FunBee to introduce bee knowledge, allowing children & kids to learn in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
- Organize interactive games and group activities to learn cooperation and teamwork spirit from the habits of bees.
Primary & Secondary School Activities – Local Beekeeping & Conservation Talk & Seminar
- Understand the crucial role bees play in nature, fostering ecological conservation awareness by studying bee ecology, pollen dissemination and other related knowledge.
- Understand the mission of our Save Local Bees Conservation Program to raise awareness towards local bee conservation.
Outdoor Educational Activity – Bee Farm Day
- Enjoy a unique learning experience and have fun throughout on-site visits to bee apiary for students and teachers.
- Suitable for group participation, which can be flexibly scheduled to align with the school’s annual calendar, catering to events such as student-teacher outings, parent-child activities, teacher development days etc.
