Termite- Exclusive Material

BayerPremise_200 SCLiquidTermiticide
Bayer Premise® SC200 Liquid Termiticide

HK Reg. no. 2P256 (SC)

Premise is a non-repellent termiticide, that provides economical structural protection combined with a colony management effect. Premise is a sustainable solution for termite control. It is water-based and has been designed to provide protection at extremely low doses, utilising an active ingredient with a good safety and environmental profile.

  • Treatments that everyone can live with-except termites (the active ingredient Imidacloprid has very low mammalian toxicity to humans and other warm-blooded animals).
  • Termites do not detect imidacloprid and will freely tunnel into treated soil/wood. However, they soon stop feeding, become disoriented, sluggish and eventually die about 4-6 weeks after termiticide application.
  • Termites exposed to imidacloprid-treated materials can transfer lethal concentrations to unexposed nestmates.
  • Success without smell, no odor and airborne residues
Why Premise® SC200

Killing- Premise® allows termites to enter the treatment zone, but after a short distance they are affected by the chemical and control is achieved immediately. They become disoriented and dysfunctional, stop feeding and are no longer able to coordinate their tunneling through the soil.

Prevention- Premise® continues to move slowly in the soil for several days after application, ensuring more even distribution. This will create a continuous barrier with no breaks and weak spots.

Premise® is now registered for exterior perimeter termite treatments.

Perimeter label allows you to focus your treatments where termite infestations are most likely to occur Less Intrusive. No inside treatments required unless there are active termite infestations found during inspection Less drilling required, compared to conventional treatments Less labor and chemical required Complete exterior perimeter treatment of the home required.

There’s proof to back it up Bayer compiled research from 2003 – 2006 in over 3,000 structures in 22 states: Over 40 PMPs and 23 University Researchers participated in the study All termite species were represented Showed Premise provided greater than 98% control of termites.

The colony management effect

Premise works by killing termites, and because contaminated termites transfer it to other termites before they die, it kills not only those entering the treated soil, but also many of the termites back in the colony. This colony management effect greatly increases the success of termite control, as termites are eliminated, not just where the soil is treated, but also back their source – the termite colony.

HK Reg. No. 2P297 (SP) / EPA Reg. no. 67419-1

As a borate-based pesticide (disodium octaborate tetrahydrate), Dustmitex® has a very low mammalian toxicity and targets specific pests. Also, Dustmitex® is applied only where needed, further reducing any unnecessary impact to the rest of the environment. And since it is long-lasting, less product is required for a successful and effective Green Pest Management program.

Dustmitex® effect on pests comes from the way the boron molecules in its active ingredient interfere with a pest’s metabolism. So, by ingesting Dustmitex®, the insect is unable to extract nutrition from its food and effectively starves to death. Humans, pets and other living things don’t share the risk because they are able to excrete excess boron from their bodies.

  • Borates are inorganic minerals mined from naturally formed deposits in the earth.
  • Active ingredient is Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT), commonly used foe most wood treatments.
  • Borates cause mortality in termites by interfering with digestion. Borates also are toxic to many species of wood-destroying insects and fungi, and unless exposed to constant rewetting, maintain their preservative qualities for decades.
  • They are non-staining, odorless, and low in mammalian toxicity (about the same as table salt).
Why borate based liquid termiticide
  • Subterranean termites have a difficult time penetrating through or tunneling over wood surfaces treated with borate.
  • High mortality and feeding deterrence occurs when termites attempt to penetrate the surface of borate-treated wood.

ExTerminex™ Bait

HK Reg. No. 2P281 (P)

ExTerminex™ is the most attractive termite bait available, containing highly refined most preferred physical form of alpha cellulose matrix base fortified with alluring compounds and feeding stimulant. Attractiveness – Subterranean termites do not show reluctance or hesitation about ExTerminex™. Termites will find their way into the bait station to feed on ExTerminex™ instead of continuing to feed on the existing food source (infested property structure or wood source) Palatability — Once the termites start feeding on ExTerminex™, they will not be able to resist not finishing the installed quantity.

Mode of Action

Chlorfluazuron is an insect growth regulator inhibiting chitin synthesis in insects. Chitin is the main component in the exoskeletons of all insects, including termites. Termites poisoned by chlorfluazuron will not be able to synthesize chitin to repair their exoskeletons, possibly damaged by physical activities or molting. This unique active ingredient will disrupt and hinder the growth of termites which will eventually kill them as they attempt to molt. Workers slowly die over weeks causing shortage of workers to forage for food and maintain the colony. The poisoned colony suffers from food shortage is weakened and is susceptible to colonization by other parasites and all these events eventually eliminates the colony.
