Booklice
Booklice belong to the order Psocoptera, with a body length generally less than 1.5mm. Although booklice resemble lice in size and shape, they are not actually lice. They primarily feed on fungi, withered or decaying plants, and are prone to grow and reproduce in dark and damp places, such as basements, storage rooms, bathrooms, wallpapers, furniture, window sills, near windows and doors, or areas with potted plants where their numbers can be particularly high.
Booklice do not bite people, transmit diseases, or damage food, posing a relatively lower threat to humans compared to ticks and mites. They are simply a nuisance pest that can be quite annoying when their numbers are excessive, indicating poor household hygiene, lack of cleanliness and high indoor humidity levels.

Treatment for Book Lice
If booklice are found in the home, it is recommended to first thoroughly clean and disinfect the infected areas and their surroundings using SmellGREEN® Natural Cleaning Disinfectant. Alternatively, consider moving the infected items outdoors and exposing them to sunlight for disinfection.
Reducing Indoor Humidity & Targeted Deployment of Pesticides
The best way to control booklice is by eliminating humid environments. Lowering the humidity in the home effectively cuts off the food source for booklice. Deep cleaning with a vacuum cleaner and steam cleaner can help remove them. If the problem persists, consider using pesticides in the home to target and solve the pest problem.

Pubic lice (louse)
Pubic lice/louse (also called crab lice) are parasitic insects found primarily in the pubic or genital area of humans. An adult crab louse is about 1.3–2 mm long. They feed on blood but cannot jump. Pubic louse may occasionally be found on other coarse body hair, such as hair on the legs, armpits, beard, or eyelashes. Lice found on the head are generally head lice, not pubic lice. Signs and symptoms of pubic lice include itching in the genital area and visible of crawling lice.
Pubic lice usually spread through sexual contact and are most common in adults. They may be spread by contact with clothing, bed linens, or towels that have been used by an infected person.
Life cycle of a pubic lice: Egg (also called a nit), the nymph, and the adult. If the lice falls off a person, it dies within 1-2 days.

Karcher® Professional Steam Cleaner
Steam Cleaning is another alternative that can be employed effectively as a control option. Temperatures at tip can reach to 104 °C which is more than sufficient to kill bed bugs, instars and eggs upon contact (the thermal death point for bed bugs is about 40 °C). Besides, the use of steam unit is commonly adopted as Green Approach to remove breeding sources.

Karcher® Spray-extraction cleaner
Extraction steam cleaning of your carpet/rug ensures a more presentable appearance. The extraction mechanism ensures bugs and eggs within the carpet are being removed thoroughly.
