Anti-microbial clear coating (carpet surface)

MegaStar is an anti-microbial clear, flat coating which air dries rapidly to give a transparent film. MegaStar is specially designed to protect surfaces from microbiological contamination by killing microorganisms that come into contact with the dry coating film. Effective against bacteria, mold, algae, soft celled viruses, and other microorganisms. MegaStar is essential for any area where microbial contamination is a concern.

MegaStar is formulated with a new and different approach to anti-microbial action. Recently developed technology employed in MegaStar kills live organisms when they come into contact with the coating surface by piercing the cell walls. The anti-microbial agent of the coating is not consumed in the process. Unlike all other anti-microbial chemicals, which work by absorbing into and poisoning cells, MegaStar is non-volatile and therefore never becomes weakened or used-up. Additionally, this “non-absorbing” strategy prevents organisms from developing a tolerance or resistance to MegaStar. Surfaces coated with MegaStar will remain anti-microbially effective for the lifetime of the coating.
